An Airtractor crop duster piloted by a North Carolina man crashed during an attempted takeoff Monday on the farm of Steve Harris near Carthage,Ill. Harris witnessed the crash. "He couldn't get off the ground. I'm not sure why," Harris said. "He dumped his load before hitting the dirt and flipping in the cornfield. I was shocked that he walked away. I thought we would be pulling out a body." The pilot, whose name was unavailable, was airlifted to Blessing Hospital in Quincy,Ill., with back injuries.

A man is helped by emergency workers after being hit by a car on Tuesday, Nov. 8th on Highway 31W in Bowling Green, Ky. Campaigners lined the corners of the intersection where the man was hit. "I didn't see him," said the driver while talking to police. The man that was hit moved onto the street as people were campaigning on a nearby sidewalk.
